Kepta Support
Kepta tracks the food in your fridge, freezer, and pantry, warns you before it goes bad, suggests recipes from what you have, and shows what your food waste really costs.
Common questions
What do the colors mean?
Each item's color shows how much of its shelf life is left, based on typical storage times for its kind of food and where you keep it. Green means plenty, amber means use it soon, red means it is past its window. Raw meat and seafood in the fridge show a countdown to cook them instead, and fridge leftovers show a countdown to eat them.
Are the dates food safety advice?
No. Shelf life colors and dates are quality guidance to help you plan. When in doubt, trust your senses.
Why do some items show no dollar amount?
Home cooked dishes are counted as dishes, not dollars, because nobody paid a store price for them. Groceries and takeout carry the price you typed, or a plain typical price if you skipped it, which you can change any time in the item's sheet.
What is Kepta Plus?
An optional upgrade that adds This Month and This Year views to Insights, your most tossed foods, tips for next time, and a six month chart of money saved and wasted. Everything else in Kepta is free. To restore a purchase on a new phone, open the gear icon on the Kitchen tab and tap Restore Purchases. To cancel a monthly or yearly plan, open iPhone Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions.
How do I delete my account?
Open the gear icon on the Kitchen tab and choose Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and its kitchen data. A shared kitchen stays for its other members. Deleting your account does not cancel a Kepta Plus subscription, so cancel that first in iPhone Settings.
